Jockey Club announces extension of paid maternity leave

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced that its paid maternity leave entitlement would be extended to 14 weeks from 10 weeks with immediate effect. All full-time female employees whose actual date of confinement falls on or after 15 October will be entitled to 14 weeks maternity leave.

The Club is one of Hong Kong's major employers and it regularly reviews its staff welfare policy to promote employee health and holistic well-being. The extension is an enhancement to the existing 10 weeks fully paid maternity leave entitlement.
