Pony Ride

Striding on together - the HKJC and equestrian sport share the same spirit of partnership and commitment to excellence.

Pony rides are a great way to introduce children to the fun of horse riding in a safe and engaging environment. Children are provided with safety helmets and assisted when mounting the pony. An experienced handler is always by their side when walking the pony and one of our qualified instructors is on hand to offer guidance and encouragement. Children must be:

1) Aged 3 to 12 and
2) Height 85cm or above and
3) 110lbs or below

Timeslots

Every Fri: 3pm to 4pm
Every Sat: 11am to 12 noon.

Possibly more timeslots available time to time.

@$135 (10 mins per session)

Stable Etiquette Guidelines

The Stable Etiquette Guidelines are not an attempt to limit the enjoyment of members, but are necessary to ensure maximum enjoyment and safety of all members and visitors.

All visitors of BREC must abide by the rules below:

  • No one may enter BREC premises outside its opening hours.
  • No one may enter a stable block when the doors are closed.
  • Minors under the age of 16 must be directly supervised by an adult at all times.
  • Shouting and running are prohibited.
  • Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times on BREC premises.
  • Proper closed-toed shoes must be worn if entering the stables.
  • All visitors are requested to leave the stable blocks during the horses' feeding time.
  • Smoking is prohibited in all stables and paddocks.
  • Prams and wheelchairs are not permitted in stable bocks.
  • Hand-feeding of horses in stable blocks is prohibited.
  • Horses have the right of way in all areas.
  • Accidents should be reported immediately to BREC staff or the office.
  • Vehicles entering BREC must observe the maximum speed limit and should always give way to horses.
  • No one may enter stables unless authorised to do so.
  • Please make your intentions known to other riders when entering paddocks.
  • No littering.

Members shall be liable for Club properties that are damaged or removed by them or by their guests, family or other invitees.
