Spelling & Rehabilitation
Introduction

Beas River Equestrian Centre (BREC) has a dedicated block of 20 stables used solely for the purpose of spelling or rehabilitation of active racehorses. These are horses that may require a long break (rehabilitation) or short break (spelling) away from training at Sha Tin.

Rehabilitation Station

The rehabilitation station at BREC is for active racehorses. It can accommodate up to ten horses at a time. There is no maximum length of stay. The rehabilitation station is intended as a long-break facility for injured horses. Horses can only be declared to run in a race 14 days after they return from the rehabilitation stables.

For the livery charge for keeping a horse in rehabilitation, please contact BREC Equestrian Administration Office . There can be veterinary charges if a horse becomes sick or injured and for any additional supplement or procedure that the trainer may request. There are also charges for bedding, horse feeds and miscellaneous items.
