Betting Services for the 21st Century

Up to a billion dollars is bet at the major race meetings in Hong Kong, and on a typical race day, the Club processes over seven million betting transactions.

The Club also operates HKJC Football, the only legalised football betting channel in Hong Kong, and the Mark Six Lottery.

To meet this huge demand and provide customers with the most convenient and efficient betting services, the Club has been at the forefront in developing and implementing new betting technologies. Besides the network of Off-Course Betting Branches(OCBBs), customers can obtain race information and place bets through fixed and mobile phone services, on-line channels and other interactive devices. The Club is ranked the second-largest IT user in Asia.

Live broadcasts of horse races are carried on local television as well as at most OCBBs, and can now even be viewed on advanced mobile services. To enhance the quality of racing information available, the Club has developed free on-line tools accessible through its website including the SpeedPOWER form guide, Easy Form and the Tips Index.

Committed to exporting its world-class racing product, the Club has entered into simulcast contracts with other authorised wagering operators in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and the United States, who set up separate pools in their respective jurisdictions. There is also a one-way betting arrangement on Hong Kong races for Macau residents.

The Club is strongly committed to a Responsible Gambling Policy and implements a wide range of measures to discourage customers from gambling beyond their means, as well as rigorous controls to prevent gambling by the underaged.
