Jockey Club Riding High Together Festival Photo Release

04/21/2019

The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Riding High Together Festival came to a close today (21 April). The three-day festival was held at Sha Tin Racecourse and Penfold Park during the Easter weekend. With the theme “Let’s have fun across generations”, festival-goers were treated to more than 70 “edutainment” activities that were fun and exciting while encouraging intergenerational harmony.

Highlights of the festival included a successful attempt to earn a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for “Largest origami lesson”. Manchester United legend Andy Cole made an appearance at “Pursuit of a Football Dream”, where he engaged in some football fun with fans. The festival also featured Easter-theme activities, DIY workshops, live performances including a children’s Cantonese opera recital, a cheerleading show, and an a cappella performance. There were also equestrian demonstrations at Penfold Park.

Now in its fifth year, the festival’s activities were divided into ten zones arranged around five themes: Horse Encounters; Inspiration & Fun; Let’s be Active; Snap & Share; and Live Performances.
