BREC - Further Relaxation of Pandemic Measures (from 11 May 2022)

05/05/2022

Following the announcement by government on the relaxation of pandemic restrictions, more measures will be further relaxed in BREC starting next Wednesday, 11 May 2022:

  • We will resume pre-booked group lessons, lead rein and beginner's lessons.
  • Riders may now be accompanied by more than one person when attending their lessons.
  • Riders are allowed to enter the indoor stable barns to bring the horse to the paddock for mounting and back to the stable barns after dismounting.
  • General member visitors are welcomed but only riders are allowed to enter the stables.
  • Social distancing measures and groups of four to be maintained at all times as per government requirement.  No large group activity to be held yet, such as pony rides, fun with ponies, stable tours etc. until further notice.
  • Restriction on movement between the schools will be lifted (i.e. riders and their connections can visit other riding schools)

Mask wearing whilst at BREC remains compulsory, however, in line with the government announcement, mask wearing is no longer mandatory whilst riding in an outdoor setting from Thursday 5 May. Please continue to wear a mask if you ride in the indoor arena. From 19 May, mask wearing will no longer be required whilst riding in all settings. However, we remind Members that masks must be replaced as soon as they dismount from the horse to be compliant with the government regulations.

Please note that the Club's Conditions of Entry (effective from 5 May) and other public health measures, including temperature screening before entry remain unchanged. All persons entering the riding schools must have completed a full COVID-19 vaccination course (2 doses or more) for at least 14 days prior to the date of visit.  They are required to scan the LeaveHomeSafe QR code using the LeaveHomeSafe mobile application and present a vaccination record in accordance with the Vaccine Pass requirements when entering the riding schools.

Thanks again and we are look forwarding to welcoming you all again at BREC!
