Further relaxation of pandemic measures - HKJC Equestrian Affairs

24/02/2021

Due to the improving pandemic situation in Hong Kong and the government’s additional relaxation of measures for sporting facilities, we are delighted to announce the further relaxation of pandemic measures to Beas River Riding School, Tuen Mun Public Riding School and Pok Fu Lam Public Riding School. As Lei Yue Mun Park continues to accommodate one of the government's quarantine facilities, Lei Yue Mun Public Riding School will remain closed.

The following measures are being adopted:

• Group Lessons will resume from Tuesday 2 March.

• Beginner and lead rein lessons resume from Tuesday 2 March. Please note that the rider and handler MUST WEAR A MASK during the riding session.

• Movement between different riding schools is now permitted. Therefore, riders are no longer limited to attend one school, but can visit all HKJC and non-HKJC schools. To ensure the continued safety of our community, please follow all precautionary measures before entering the riding school premises. They include:

                     • Use the "LeaveHomeSafe" app (details of the app: https://www.leavehomesafe.gov.hk/en/) or register your name,
contact details and arrival and departure information if you do not have a smartphone

                       • Complete a health declaration

                         • Have your temperature checked

                           • Use hand sanitizer

                             • Wear a face mask at all times when not riding a horse or showering (riders in lead rein sessions must wear a mask)

•As per the Government’s direction, all customer facing staff at Beas River and the two Public Riding Schools undergo compulsory 14 day testing.

The Club would like to thank our members, customers and supporters for their continued understanding and support over the last few months. We hope you enjoy your riding!
