The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) is presenting a themed exhibition at the 36th Hong Kong Book Fair for seven days, starting from today (15 July), featuring a series of sport-based activities designed to help children and young people develop healthy habits and positive values.
The Hong Kong Book Fair is being held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. At the Club’s exhibition (Hall 3F-G, Booth 3CON-065 and 3CON-066), visitors can enjoy a range of engaging interactive experiences incorporating elements of football, rugby, fencing, equestrian sport, cycling and badminton. Children, youngsters and parents can explore important aspects of personal growth and development, including cyber literacy, emotional management, social skills, time management and financial literacy.
Raymond Tam, Executive Director, Corporate Affairs of The Hong Kong Jockey Club visited the exhibition today and interacted with primary school students. He said the Club has long worked closely with different sectors of the community to deliver a wide range of educational initiatives that help nurture positive values among the younger generation. Through this ‘learning-through-play’ exhibition at the Book Fair, the Club aimed to engage an even wider audience and promote whole-person development from an early age, helping young people grow into a healthy and positive new generation. This reflects the Club’s commitment to building a better society.
The Club has distributed around 2,000 complimentary tickets for the Hong Kong Book Fair through community groups. During the weekend (18 July and 19 July), members of the Club’s CARE@hkjc Volunteer Team will offer complimentary arm and face painting services at Club’s booth, adding to the fun while fostering family bonding. Participants who complete all activities at Club’s booth will receive a limited-edition souvenir, available while stocks last.
