One City; Two Passions. This April, a landmark partnership between The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC), Hong Kong China Rugby (HKCR) and the Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC) will unite Hong Kong’s two greatest sporting passions – horse racing and rugby – for the very first time, showcasing our city’s world-class sport and entertainment and strong community spirit.

The Hong Kong Flower Show opened at Victoria Park today (20 March), welcoming citizens and visitors to enjoy its vibrant floral displays. The Hong Kong Jockey Club has supported the annual extravaganza since 2013, making it easier for people to enjoy active lifestyles and enriching their quality of life. The show is organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and is due to run until Sunday, 29 March.

[The following is issued on behalf of the Institute of Philanthropy]　Landmark exhibition celebrates the Year of the Horse with artworks spanning centuries of Chinese culture　As one of the highlights of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Year of the Horse campaign, the Hong Kong Palace Museum and the Palace Museum, with exclusive sponsorship from the Institute of Philanthropy (IoP), today launched “Heavenly Horses: Masterpieces from the Palace Museum”. Presenting nearly 100 horse themed paintings from more than 60 renowned artists, spanning the Yuan dynasty to the 20th century, the exhibition celebrates the horses as an enduring symbol of perseverance, vitality and national spirit in Chinese culture.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) and the Guangzhou Municipal Culture, Radio, Television and Tourism Bureau (GZCRTTB) today (17 March) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote the unique racing tourism concept of “Two Cities, Three Racecourses”, namely Happy Valley Racecourse and Sha Tin Racecourse in Hong Kong and Conghua Racecourse in Guangzhou. The aim is to support Guangzhou as a world-class tourism city and to strengthen Hong Kong’s position as Asia’s events capital.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) tonight (16 March) hosted the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme (JCAIAS) Presentation Ceremony to recognise the achievements of medallists at the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities (NGD). A total of HK$6,843,750 in cash incentives was awarded to the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region team in recognition of their outstanding achievement in winning 11 gold, 23 silver and 26 bronze medals.

In response to an increase in youth suicides and the prevalence of distress and poor mental health among young people, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust established the Jockey Club Online Youth Emotional Support “Open Up” (Open Up) in 2017. It is Hong Kong’s first round-the-clock online texting platform for children and young people at risk of imminent crisis or experiencing emotional distress.

In the HKSAR Chief Executive’s 2025 Policy Address, artificial intelligence (AI) was highlighted as a core industry to drive Hong Kong’s future development. The Hong Kong Jockey Club has committed over HK$255 million in funding through its Charities Trust to co-create the JC GoAI project with The Chinese University of Hong Kong. The project aims to provide systematic, multi faceted support for AI education across upper primary and junior secondary schools and equip students with essential AI literacy skills.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club extends its warmest congratulations on the successful conclusion of this year’s LIV Golf Hong Kong today (8 Mar) at the Hong Kong Golf Club (HKGC) Fanling Golf Course. HKSAR Government Financial Secretary Paul Chan, HKSAR Government Secretary for Culture, Sports and Tourism Rosanna Law, Club Executive Director of Corporate Affairs Raymond Tam and other guests attended the tournament, witnessing the trophy lift moment.
