[The following is issued jointly by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust and the Institute of Philanthropy] Chinese Mainland experts inspire thousands of Hong Kong students in cutting-edge technologies and culture More than 4,300 students across 34 Hong Kong secondary schools are engaging with leading Chinese Mainland experts in artificial intelligence, aerospace, energy technology, traditional Chinese medicine, robotics and cultural conservation through a citywide series of “The Master Classes for Youth” designed to spark interest in innovation, technology, and culture. Organised by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation and funded by the Institute of Philanthropy (IoP) and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, and with The Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups serving as the strategic partner, supported by the Hong Kong Rosamond Foundation, the two-day “The Master Classes for Youth — Youth Stands Beyond the Horizon: Tomorrow’s Questions, Today’s Answers” programme brings seven top experts into schools for thematic talks and face-to-face exchanges.

The Jockey Club SCENES Building was officially opened today (28 June). The building, alongside the newly built Lo Koon Wing Building and refurbished Bradbury Building, is part of the enhancement works at Tai Tam Scout Centre campsite to support The Scout Association of Hong Kong’s nature and environmental programmes. The project is funded by a donation of nearly HK$100 million from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.

The flagship event of The Hong Kong Jockey Club ICH+ Innovative Heritage Education Programme - “ICH+ Festival 2025/26” opened today (27 June) at the Jao Tsung-I Academy in Lai Chi Kok. Spanning over two weeks, the event adopts innovative approaches to blend traditional and contemporary elements, offering a wide range of activities including a series of exhibitions, interactive games, traditional craft workshops, and thematic sharing sessions fusing tradition with innovation.

As part of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Year of the Horse campaign, the Harmonious Horse International Exhibition Tour has moved on to Tamar Park in Admiralty following its Community Exhibition at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre Piazza in Tsim Sha Tsui. A launch ceremony was held on 19 June. The exhibition showcases horse sculptures created by renowned artist Simon Ma, celebrating the bond between horses and humans and symbolising the unity between the Club and the community.

The annual Tai O Dragon Boat Water Parade took place today (19 June), attracting hundreds of visitors and residents to celebrate one of the city’s unique traditions. Originating more than a century ago as a way to ward off plague and purify the community, the Water Parade is inscribed on the third National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has supported it since 2012, helping to preserve and promote a cherished local tradition.

Hong Kong becomes the first market outside FIFA World Cup 2026™ host cities to showcase Lenovo technologies inspired by its role as FIFA's Official Technology Partner, with Sir David Beckham joining the launch at Happy Valley Racecourse race meeting.

Starting today (11 June), a spectacular horse-themed light projection will illuminate the iconic domed façade of the Hong Kong Space Museum, brought to the public by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: “Journey of the Horse: A Legacy of Arts and Culture” Light Show, which is part of The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Year of the Horse campaign. The multi-angle display showcases the profound significance of the horse in history, art and intangible cultural heritage (“ICH”).

To further enhance the appeal of Hong Kong’s higher education sector and enrich student learning experiences, while at the same time aligning with the Central Government’s goal of deepening international exchange and collaboration, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust has approved a donation of over HK$203 million to The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) to support part of the construction costs for a new undergraduate residence at its Clear Water Bay campus. The new residence, named the Jockey Club i-Village, provided over 1,500 hostel places and is expected to help attract more overseas students and promote international exchange.

In support of the 2026 Hong Kong Tourism Development Forum, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (“the Club”) today (10 June) hosted a closing banquet at Happy Valley Racecourse for forum guests. The inaugural Tourism Cup was also held on the same evening, in collaboration with strategic partner China Tourism Group (CTS Holdings HK) (“CTG”) to promote horse racing tourism and reinforce the city’s position as an international tourism hub.

With the world’s largest football festival set to kick off this week, The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) today (9 June) announced the launch of its Home of Football campaign.

Since its launch in 2016, CoolThink@JC, initiated and funded by The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust, has had a significant and widespread impact. In 2023, the Education Bureau of the HKSAR Government has adopted and adapted its learning materials as part of curriculum modules on innovation and technology education. Over 100,000 upper primary students across all publicly funded primary schools in Hong Kong have been empowered with problem-solving and creative skills for the digital age. Internationally, the programme has received multiple accolades including the QS Reimagine Education Awards, and its teaching materials have been shared worldwide. It has also been adopted by schools in the Chinese Mainland.

Penfold Park - built and managed by The Hong Kong Jockey Club (the Club) – has recently been upgraded to enhance the visitor experience. The opening ceremony of Pony World, one of its new community facilities, was held today (5 June) as part of the Club’s Year of the Horse Campaign. The facility offers an interactive equestrian experience that combines education and entertainment.
