Conditions of Entry to Club Premises

(with effect from 5 JULY 2022)

To safeguard and protect the health and safety of all guests and staff, no person will be allowed to access any Club Premises if he / she:-

  • has had within 7 days prior to the date of visit any of the common symptoms of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) – such as fever, malaise, dry cough, shortness of breath, nasal congestion, headache, conjunctivitis, sore throat, diarrhea, loss of taste or smell, skin rash or discolouration of fingers or toes;
  • has been tested positive or preliminary positive by COVID-19 nucleic acid test (“PCR”) or rapid antigen test (“RAT”) (“Infected Person(s)”), unless he / she has met the criteria for discharge from isolation or home quarantine as summarised at https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/pa_discharge_ENG.pdf
  • is currently subject to any isolation or quarantine order imposed by the Government;
  • is a close contact as determined by the Club.  For definition of “close contact” please refer to Note 1;
  • is residing with any person who has travelled outside of Hong Kong and is currently subject to any compulsory quarantine order issued by the Government or is undergoing home quarantine;
  • is required to undergo COVID-19 testing pursuant to a compulsory testing notice or direction (except for compulsory testing required after the end of compulsory quarantine or self-monitoring for persons returning from places outside Hong Kong) and has not been confirmed negative; or Note 2
  • does not meet the prevailing Vaccine Pass requirement. Note 3

Note 1:    “Close contacts” includes household members of the Infected Person, or individuals who, from 4 days before first onset of symptoms of the Infected Person or, in an asymptomatic case, from 4 days before the Infected Person’s first positive test, engaged with an Infected Person in mask-off activities (e.g. eating or drinking or exercising together) or mask-on activities in close proximity for 30 minutes or longer, or in other circumstances as determined by the Club. 

Close contacts who have received at least 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine and tested negative by RAT for two successive days on Days 6 and 7 (Day 1 being the day following the day of last contact with the Infected Person) may visit Club premises.   Those who have not received 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine may only use Club premises if they have been tested negative by RAT on Day 14.

Note 2:    If the compulsory testing notice requires more than one test, visitors cannot access Club premises until the first two tests are returned negative.  Thereafter, they may use Club premises except on the day of each subsequent test and until the test is returned negative.

Note 3: 

  • Dosage requirement under the Vaccine Pass requirement can be found at https://www.coronavirus.gov.hk/pdf/vp_t1_ENG.pdf.
  • Vaccination record refers to the following types of record, in paper or electronic form: (i) vaccination record issued under the COVID-19 Vaccination Programme organised by the Government, (ii) declaration record of non-local COVID-19 vaccination record issued at border control points or designated post offices, and (iii) COVID-19 recovery record (from 1 July 2022, COVID-19 recovery records must contain a QR code), which include:
  • text message, electronic record or paper certificate of positive PCR result issued by the Government or a recognised laboratory under the Laboratory Recognition Scheme of the Department of Health;
  • text message or electronic record of a completed declaration of positive RAT test result on the “Declaration System for individuals tested positive for COVID-19 using Rapid Antigen Test” of the Department of Health;
  • isolation order issued by the Department of Health;
  • discharge letter issued by any public hospital or isolation facilities; and
  • any other documents or electronic records issued by the Government or the Hospital Authority pertaining to the recovered person status of an individual.

For persons infected or recovered outside Hong Kong, the relevant proof of infection or recovery should be the record issued or recognised by the relevant health authorities of the place concerned.

  • Persons aged 12 or above and are unfit receive COVID-19 vaccination due to medical reasons shall produce the COVID-19 Vaccination Medical Exemption Certificate in the Government’s specified form with a QR code.
  • Persons (i) below the age of 12 unaccompanied by an adult or (ii) holding an overseas vaccination record without the relevant QR Code need to make a declaration using the specified form available from the Government webpage with the required proof.  From 1 September 2022, overseas vaccination record without a declaration record issued at border control points or designated post offices will not be accepted.
