The Hong Kong Jockey Club will stage the Hong Kong, China’s Paris 2024 Olympic Team Celebration Raceday at Sha Tin Racecourse on 13 October (Sunday) to honour the remarkable achievements of the Hong Kong, China athletes at the Paris Olympic Games, where the team made history by capturing a total of four medals - two gold and two bronze. A cheque presentation ceremony for the Jockey Club Athlete Incentive Awards Scheme (JCAIAS) will also be held on the day.

The JCAIAS cheque presentation ceremony will be open to the public, providing an opportunity for everyone to celebrate alongside the Hong Kong, China delegation. Gold-medallist fencers Cheung Ka-long and Vivian Kong, and swimmer Siobhan Bernadette Haughey who won two bronze medals in Paris, have also accepted the invitation. Gates will open at 10:35 am, allowing racegoers to enter in time to join the ceremony.

In addition, two feature races – the Hong Kong, China’s Paris 2024 Olympic Team Celebration Cup (Race 3) and Sha Tin Trophy (Race 7) – will be staged on the raceday. Other handicap races on the card will be named for the sports in which Hong Kong, China athletes participated at the Paris Olympics, namely swimming, badminton, judo, cycling, sailing, fencing, athletics, rowing, table tennis, taekwondo, artistic gymnastics and triathlon.
