HKJC offers enhanced security and quick access to digital channels via one-time password SMS authentication

To enhance customer account security and simplify the login process for HKJC digital services, the Club is introducing a more up-to-date one-time password SMS authentication method in alignment with technology advances in the market.

This new login method will replace the existing process that uses login security questions. By completing a few simple steps to link betting accounts to personal digital devices, customers* can enjoy a more simplified login experience to access their betting services.

The Club will invite customers to upgrade their login process in phases. The project is expected to be completed by this summer. During the transition period, the new login process will run in parallel with the existing one to ensure undisrupted service to customers.

Protect yourself from phishing SMS

To guard against fraudulent messages, customers are reminded to stay vigilant. Customers will only receive a personal email from the Club and app push notifications containing a migration invitation, in addition to prompt messages upon logging into HKJC apps and the HKJC website. The Club will not send out SMS messages asking customers to migrate to the new login authentication method for their betting accounts, nor will it ask customers to log in or provide personal information through third-party emails, SMS, websites, apps or phone calls.

The migration process is simple and hassle-free, and takes less than one minute to complete. Customers may simply log in the HKJC apps and website and follow the step-by-step instructions provided in the Club’s tutorial video (link) to easily migrate to the new login method.

For Classic 3-in-1 and Racing Touch (App)

Customers currently using login questions to log in are advised to link their betting accounts with personal digital devices using one-time password authentication. Once set up, they will no longer need to answer login questions. Customers using biometric authentication will also enjoy enhanced account security.

Customers are advised that they can trust the web browser after completing one-time password authentication and will not need to answer login questions for subsequent logins within the following eight hours. 

For assistance, customers can approach our service team at Off-Course Betting Branches, or at racecourse venues and betting halls at Sha Tin and Happy Valley Racecourses during race days. Our staff will assist our customers with the migration. A dedicated hotline (3161 5188) will be setup or customers can call 1817 or 1818 to be connected to dedicated personnel for assistance.
