Jockey Club appoints Ms Sarena Lin as Chief Transformation Officer

The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (15 August) the appointment of Ms Sarena Lin as Chief Transformation Officer (CTO) with effect from 25 August 2025.

Ms Lin will be a member of the Board of Management and report directly to the Club’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges.

As CTO, Ms Lin will lead the Club’s newly established Transformation Office, where she will drive the holistic transformation of the Club and strengthen its capabilities as a customer-centric, agile, efficient and data-driven sports organisation that contributes to the betterment of society. Her responsibilities include designing the transformation roadmap, spearheading cross-divisional initiatives, strengthening foundational enablers, as well as embedding sustainable changes across the organisation.

Ms Lin is a dynamic and seasoned leader with extensive experience in transformation, human resources and corporate strategy across Asia, Europe and the Americas. She has led global transformations for large-scale organisations and has served on multiple public and private boards.

Prior to joining the Club, Ms Lin was Chief Transformation and Talent Officer at Bayer AG and a member of its Board of Management. In this role, she led a global transformation programme focused on operating model redesign, leadership development and cultural change. Previously, she served as President of Elanco USA and Executive Vice President of Strategy and Marketing. She has also held global leadership roles at Cargill and was a Partner at McKinsey & Company.

Ms Lin holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master in International Relations degree from Yale University, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Harvard University.
