The Hong Kong Jockey Club announced today (9 September) the appointment of Terecina Kwong as the Executive Director, Membership and Customer Excellence (EDMCE) with effect from 17 September 2025.

Ms Kwong will be a member of the Board of Management and report directly to the Club’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges.

As EDMCE, Ms Kwong will lead the formulation of the Club’s Membership strategy to create exceptional lifestyle and culinary experiences for Club Members as well as overseeing our clubhouse and racecourse operations in Hong Kong and Mainland.  She will shape the value propositions to enhance Members’ interest in racegoing, horse ownership and equestrian sports. She will also further collaborate with the Club’s Racing Division to expand the horse ownership pipeline in both Hong Kong and the Mainland.

In addition, Ms Kwong will oversee the development of a comprehensive customer experience strategy, harmonising and elevating customer journeys across the Club tailored to customer segments. This will create a unified experience blueprint and ensure consistent adoption of best practices throughout all customer touchpoints to drive efficiency and agility, including for digital channels, racecourses, clubhouses, retail and telebet. She will also oversee the Club’s data strategy and governance, with an immediate focus on the data of owners, members and customers, ensuring a holistic and unified view.

Ms Kwong is an accomplished executive with global expertise in customer management, technology, innovation and operations, particularly in the Mainland, Asia and Europe. She has held senior roles as a transformation leader encompassing sales, strategy, product development, channel distribution, and operational management at HSBC. Prior to joining the Club, she was the Chief Operating Officer of HSBC International Wealth and Premier Banking.

Ms Kwong holds a Master of Business Administration degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, a Bachelor’s degree in Law from the University of London, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of British Columbia. She is also a Fellow Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) from Australia.
