Amanda Bond
Amanda Bond

Amanda joined the Club in June 2014 having been CEO of British Dressage. During her five years at BD, Great Britain became Olympic and Paralympic Champions and amassed a total of 14 medals for dressage in London 2012. Membership of the organization increased from 14,000 to 50,000 by providing opportunities for all levels to engage in the sport.

Amanda also has a wealth of experience in running major equestrian events in a range of disciplines. She worked on the four previous Olympic and Paralympic Games and has run FEI European and World Championships. She is Chair of the FEI Para Equestrian Technical Committee and a Board Member of the FEI.

She has over thirty years working in the equestrian field, having previously headed the team at Hartpury College in the UK. In her role Amanda oversees all equestrian interests for the Club

Charlotte Chen
Charlotte Chen

Charlotte joined BREC in December 2022, has held various leading positions in several luxury hotels and spa in Hong Kong and Macau, with more than 20 years of experience in operation management, project planning and guest services.

Charlotte is responsible for the business and administrative functions of BREC, property and facility maintenance, human resources coordination, finance and liaison with the Membership department.

Stephane Morai
Stéphane Morai (BEREITER FN Professional Trainer)

Stéphane is from Belgium and has been riding since childhood. After high school, he continued his studies in Germany for 5 years and qualified as BEREITER FN Professional Rider and Trainer.

On returning to Belgium, Stéphane started to teach and compete up to Grand Prix and Small Tour level Dressage on the FEI International circuit.

Before moving to the HKJC, he has been Director of the prestigious riding center Royal Etrier Belge in Brussels and also ran his own Riding Academy.

Joss Gray
Joss Gray (British Horse Society Instructor & UKCC 3)

Joss has 30 years of competing on the UK and the international eventing circuit. He has competed at CCI 5* level and has had placings at other premier show including a top 5 finish at Bramham CCI 4*.

Joss has been an international Coach and Chef D’Equipe at the last two Asian Games for two different countries. For Qatar at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea and also for the home nation, Indonesia , at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta.

He has also been Coach and Chef D’Equipe at Regional Games winning team Silver and Individual bronze at the SEA games in Jakarta 2011 and team bronze at the SEA Games 2001 in Kuala Lumpur.

In July 2018 won Team Bronze at the Central American Games in Colombia with the Barbados Team.

Tracy Lung Wing Sze
Tracy Lung Wing Sze (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor & Stage IV Ride & Care)

Tracy has joined the Club since 2008. Tracy has the qualification of BHSAI and BHS stage 4 (Care) in 2013. She helped staff and members to achieved the BHS examination in different levels. She is teaching the novice level in School and she helps the arrangement of equestrian activities.

Cara Hayward
Cara Hayward (UKCC Level 3 (Dressage Specific))

Cara joined us here at BREC in the beginning of January 2023 as a UKCC Level 3 (Dressage Specific) qualified coach and is a Dressage rider, trainer & Judge. Originally trained by Richard Davison and by Henriette Andersen, she holds a firm belief in classical training, focusing on developing harmony and lightness between horse and rider.  As a coach, she loves training and producing horses, helping riders to achieve their goals.  She holds a strong passion in understanding the psychology behind the horse’s reactions to stimulus. Owning her first horse at the age of 12, Cara has produced several horses from 3 year olds through to high level dressage. She is specialized in training Ex race horses and produced her own through to Prix St Georges.  She was also the Chef d'Equipe to the British Junior and Young Rider Dressage Team for more than 9 years.  Prior to coming to Hong Kong, Cara has developed her own training base in Cotswolds where she has trained many "outside of the box " horses.

Anais Chauvin
Anais Chauvin (BPJEPS Equitation Qualification - France)

Anais holds the BPJEPS Equitation Qualification (Brevet Professionnel de la Jeunesse de l'Education Populaire et du Sport Equitation) from her native France, which is Internationally recognized as equivalent to the BHSII Qualification.

Her equestrian specialization is in Eventing, having trained and competed many horses from youngsters up to FEI1* level of 110cm. She has also Show Jumped up to 1.30m and ridden up to Medium level in Dressage.

Debbie Lee Nga Yan
Debbie Lee Nga Yan (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor & Stage IV Ride & Care)

Debbie started her career as a member of the Racing Development Board's Racing Trainee Programme in 2000. After joining Beas River Equestrian Centre in 2002, she continued her training as a Trainee Instructor. She earned her BHSPI qualification in 2007. She enjoys sharing her experiences in horse riding with other riders. Debbie also assists in organising equestrian activities as well as teaching all levels of riding. Debbie earned her BHSAI qualification in 2013.

Tang Siu Yin
Tang Siu Yin (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor)

Yin joined the Club in 1996. He earned his BHSPI qualification in 2003. He has been a qualified riding instructor since 2007. Yin has been involved in the retraining of retired racehorses for ten years. In 2011, he also took the role of supervising and managing the daily duties and training of grooms in the riding school.

Tony Wong Ka Ning
Tony Wong Ka Ning (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor)

Tony joined the club in 2010 and he has the qualification of BHSAI in 2014. He is mainly to teach different level riders and assist the riding school to held other activities.

Martin Leong Chun Man
Martin Leong Chun Man (British Horse Society Assistant Instructor & Stage IV Ride)

Martin joined the Club in 2009. He started the training of instructor in 2010. He got his qualification in 2013. Beside he teaches beginner class and working for Pony Ride. Martin is helping to train some jumping horses.


Part Time Equestrian Coach
Peta Duncalf
Peta Duncalf (British Horse Society Intermediate Instructor)

Peta is originally from Wales, and she was already riding before she could walk. She has competed successfully in Dressage, Show Jumping and Eventing competitions in the UK. She has taught in many countries around the world. Peta ran Pokfulam Public Riding School for ten years and was involved with Pony Club and Riding Club events.

Yumi Toda
Yumi Toda (British Horse Society Preliminary Instructor & Stage III Complete)

Yumi has been riding since she was ten years old. She competed successfully in three disciplines in Hong Kong. She represented the Hong Kong Pony Club in overseas competitions. Yumi taught as a part-time instructor at various riding schools until 2007. She earned her PTT qualification that year. She worked full time at the Lo Wu Saddle Club and Beas River Equestrian Centre. Yumi was the Operations Manager of Riding for the Disabled Association in 2011 as well as a trainer for para-riders.
