For the fourth time, the Hong Kong Jockey Club will bring the football field to the Sha Tin Racecourse Concourse for the HKJC Soccer 4 tournament – a highlight event of the Riding High Together Festival. Held during the Easter holidays from 19-21 April, the tournament gives elite players from local football clubs and district football teams the chance to put their best foot forward.

The first-ever football tournament held at the Racecourse, HKJC Soccer 4 is a 4-a-side game played in the absence of goalkeepers. Held over three days, 90 teams from nine categories – Boys U12, U13, U15, Girls U11 and U14, School, Parents-and-Kids, and the first-ever “Hong Kong Conghua Primary School Invitational” – will play in over 200 games. Each team will compete in a series of ten-minute matches for the championship in their respective category. The fast-paced action creates additional excitement as the players and festivalgoers experience the allure of football through the activities in Zone 6 “Pursuit of a football dream”!

  • Clive Ng Kai-yui (KC Southern, participant of 2016 HKJC Soccer 4) said: “It’s an exciting and enjoyable tournament that provides a platform to showcase your skills in front of the crowd. You may even explore another side of yourself that’s different from playing in an 11-a-side game.”
