Taking part was the Manchester United Academy U16 team, the HKFA U17 team, the Hong Kong District All-Stars and, for the first time, the Guangdong U17 team. Champion: Manchester United U16
Second Place: Guangdong U17
Third Place: HKFA U17
Fourth Place: Hong Kong District All Stars

“Friendship first, tournament second” – the outcome is not what is important. Through actual competition, these young players from three different places not only improved their playing skills, but also met new friends and exchanged tactical strategies with each other. While the players were busy doing that, the fans enjoyed watching the different individual styles of these next generation players from England, Hong Kong and Guangdong!

The Hong Kong HK District All-Stars is the first team to confirm their squad for the Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit 2018. The team’s technical and tactical training are well organised and set up for designated players, the preparation of the upcoming matches has been in accordance with the principle of gradual and orderly progress.

To better prepare themselves, a training camp at Cong Hua was arranged in mid-July. The team has played a friendly match with the Cong Hua Football Association Youth team, which helped improving the squad chemistry.

After two months of preparation, the Hong Kong HK District All-Stars players have improved in both ends individually and as a team, and ready to shine in the upcoming Jockey Club Youth Football Academy Summit Tournament.
