Ronny Johnsen, a former Premier League player who played for Manchester United for six seasons and who has led his team to win the Treble (Premier League champion, FA Cup champion and Champions League champion) in the 1998/99 season, joined parents and children on the field at the Family Football Clinic and enjoyed some quality time playing football together.
Ronny Johnsen, who has one son and one daughter, said that unconditional support is key to good parent-child relations: "For parents, there’s a delicate balance between providing loving care and pushing their children to the next level. The most important thing for them to do is to stand by their children and offer timely and appropriate guidance. " During the match, the phrase that came most frequently from Ronny was "Well Done!", which cultivated a positive atmosphere where kids can grow more confident.
Tai Yat Kiu, a student at St. Patrick’s Catholic Primary School (Po Kong Village Road), said the most unforgettable part of the day was “snatching Daddy's football.” He also added, "When I am in an encouraging environment, I can demonstrate my ability better." His father Mr Tai also praised Yat Kiu’s performance on the field, saying, "I was impressed that he could show good judgment with such confidence during a football match!"
