Recently, Daniel shared with a group of youth leaders his 11-year recovery process, from accident to wheelchair, prosthetic limb and crutches to walking naturally today. Through a game of Charades, the leaders learned about the communication difficulties facing people with hearing and speech impairments.
Soon, the 47 youth leaders will take on their own challenges in mountaineering, as well as put their learning into practice by organising community football activities and more. "Don't belittle yourself in the face of different difficulties and challenges,” Daniel said, reiterating that it is the duty of leaders to bring out the uniqueness in each individual.
